Border Patrol Arrest Two Gang Members and a Sex Offender

EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector (RGV) agents arrested a Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13), an 18th Street gang member, and a previously convicted sex offender.

Yesterday morning, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents working in Abram, Texas, apprehended a group of nine migrants after they illegally entered the United States. Among the group was a 38-year-old male from El Salvador who is a confirmed 18th Street gang member. 

This morning, Weslaco Border Patrol Station (WSL) agents working in Weslaco, Texas, apprehended a group of ten migrants after they illegally entered the United States. Among the group was a 30-year-old male from El Salvador who is a confirmed MS-13 gang member. 

Earlier today, Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station agents apprehended four migrants in Roma, Texas.  Record checks revealed, Edwin Morales-Morales, a Guatemalan national, was previously arrested by the McAllen, Texas, Police Department for sexual assault of a child and sentenced to 10 years’ probation. He was subsequently, removed from the United States.

Border Patrol processed the subjects accordingly.
