CBP Officers Donate Bottles to Help Local Hockey Team

MASSENA, N.Y.  - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers at the Massena Port of Entry participated in a local bottle drive and donated returnable bottles and cans to the local St. Lawrence Steel 14U Tier II Boys Hockey Team.

The St. Lawrence Steel hockey team is headed to the USA Hockey National Tournament to be held in South Bend, Indiana from April 3-8. “There are many life lessons learned through winning, losing, and the hard work to get to top competitions. We try and help whenever possible.” said CBPO Scott McCracken. The team consists of players from Potsdam, Massena, Canton, Brasher Falls, Norwood, Ft. Covington, Ogdensburg, Saranac Lake and Watertown, NY.

“This is an exciting time for kids and a small way we can give back to surrounding communities and support our youth.” said Port Director Robert Dwyer.
