Protect Your Personal Information: Avoid Fraudulent EPP Websites

During pay period 14 (July 14-27), cyber criminals used internet ads to misdirect some federal employees to a fraudulent Employee Personal Page (EPP) website. The goal was to obtain and use employees’ credentials to change direct deposit information in the real EPP.

Though this was an isolated incident and the impacted employees have been notified, you should take the following steps to safeguard information in your EPP:

  • If you access EPP from a non-government computer, or from a website address that does not include “nfc.usda.gov,” immediately change your EPP password and user ID.
  • Bookmark and use this link to access your EPP: https://www.nfc.usda.gov/EPPS.
  • Never use a search engine to find and access EPP.
  • Before logging into EPP, ensure the website address includes “nfc.usda.gov.”
  • Review your financial data in EPP regularly.
  • Review your Earnings & Leave (E&L) Statement in EPP each pay period. If you see any changes with which you are unfamiliar, or if you do not receive your biweekly pay deposit as normal, contact CBP Payroll immediately.

If you have questions, contact CBP’s Payroll Helpdesk at (317) 298-1305 or payroll-Information@cbp.dhs.gov.
