There is no minimum age requirement for Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI). However, if you are under the age of 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the program. Your parent or legal guardian does not have to be a SENTRI member.

Regardless of your age, you must create a Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) System account, if required pay a non-refundable application fee, and schedule an interview at a SENTRI Enrollment Center. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present.

After October 1, 2024, all applications submitted for minors under the age of 18 will not be charged an application fee; if there parent or legal guardian is enrolled in a Trusted Traveler Program to include SENTRI, NEXUS, or Global Entry.  The application fee will also be waived if the legal guardian or parent has an application that is pending risk or in conditionally approved status.
