  • Single Window Sustainment (SWS)

    Prioritize partner government agency (PGA) requirements for Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) enhancements and provide a platform for PGA collaboration on ACE use and improvement. SWS Pay as You Go (PAYGO) Prioritization Sessions are held quarterly.

  • United States Government (USG) International Mail Initiative (IMI)

    Optimize International Mail Facility (IMF) workflow by allowing CBP and PGAs to access electronic mail data in ACE, resulting in more efficient operations at IMFs for both CBP and PGAs.

  • Joint Funding Initiative

    Assess the current state of PGA funding of ACE enhancements with the goal of developing and implementing policies and procedures to allow multiple PGAs to jointly fund mutually beneficial ACE enhancements.

  • International Single Window (ISW) Initiative

    An interagency forum to evaluate, advise, and support the interagency business, technical, and legal analysis and research for government-to-government Single Window trade data exchange and connectivity.

  • Trade Industry Agreement

    The BIEC partners with the trade industry to support initiatives and enhance border management. The Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) Customs Interagency Industry (CII) Working Group serves as the conduit between CBP, PGAs and the trade industry. The COAC itself advises the Secretaries of the Department of the Treasury and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on the commercial operations of CBP and related Treasury and DHS Functions.

While the BIEC does not lead or oversee the following efforts, CBP has a number of priorities that relate to the BIEC’s mission and often request PGA collaboration.
